Curt 1-7/8 inch Hitch Ball Review- Video
Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look at the Curt 1-7/8" Trailer Ball. This is gonna be an extra long shank. So for something like bumper towing like we have here on our F-150, this is gonna be a great option. Now what separates this ball from a lot of other balls on the market, it's gonna be the extra long shank and this is gonna be a 3". So from the bottom of the ball platform to the bottom of the shank, this one is 3", which works out really well for mounting this up on our bumper. It's gonna work with ball mounts, so we're bumper platforms that are gonna be 1" to 2" thick and that's still gonna give us that nice secure mounting up, whereas another ball mount, the shank will be too short to be able to crank that down. more

Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at Etrailer and today we're taking a look at the Curt inch and seven eighths trailer hitch ball. This one's rated at 3,500 pounds and has a built-in one inch rise. When hooking up your trailer, you try to get your coupler and trailer tongue to be exactly level with the towed vehicle. And sometimes you just need about an inch to get that perfectly set up. And instead of having to go out and buy a new ball mount, you can pick up a ball with that one inch rise already built in. So the ball mount we had had a two inch drop, but all we needed was a one inch drop. more

Curt 1-7/8" Hitch Ball Review- Video
Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look at the Curt stainless steel inch and seven eighths ball mount. Now this is gonna be a great option if you have a smaller trailer with a coupler with an inch and seven eighths and you already have a ball mount because this just comes singular and this will bolt up to those ball mounts with a one inch diameter. Now this ball mount is gonna be rated at 3,500 pounds, which is gonna be great. So anytime when towing any trailer, you're gonna want to take a look at all of your components. So this one being rated at 3,500 pounds. We have this on a 7,500 pound rated ball mount, but we also need to check the hitch as well as the towed vehicle to make sure that they're all capable of towing that. more

B and W 2-5/16" Hitch Ball Review- Video
Hello neighbors. It's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look at the B&W 2 5/16 trailer ball with a 1 inch diameter and a 12,000 pound weight capacity. Now we have this on our weight distribution hitch today because we swapped from a 2 inch ball to a 2 5/16 ball, and this is gonna be a great option for that, but also it's gonna work on your ball mount if you have that 1 inch diameter. And this is a pretty heavy-duty ball. So for something like our Duramax that we have here today, it's gonna be a great option. Now this ball is a heat-treated steel, and it's got a raw finish, meaning it's not chrome, it's not painted, and that means it's not really gonna scratch. more

Hello, neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look at the TowSmart inch and 7/8 hitch ball. This one's gonna have a inch diameter and be rated at 2,000 pounds. This chrome-plated ball is gonna be a great option for some of your smaller trailers that require an inch and 7/8 for the coupler, and being rated at 2,000 pounds, this is gonna be some light-duty towing, whether it's a small utility trailer, maybe jet skis, kayak trailer, something along those lines. But this is gonna be a great option for a lot of different ball mounts. You have a two-inch shank length. So from the bottom of the ball to the bottom of the shank is gonna be two inches. more

Now this is rated at 14,000 pounds, and is gonna work with a ball mount that has 1-1/4" diameter opening for that shank. And this shank is gonna come in at a distance of 2-3/4". How many times, when you pick up a ball mount, it doesn't come with a ball, and that's where this comes into play. You can custom cater this to the trailer that you're using. Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look at the Equal-i-zer trailer hitch ball in a 2 5/16 configuration. And this is gonna be a great option for that Equal-i-zer weight distribution hitch that you may be putting on your car. Now our neighbor picked up an Equal-i-zer weight distribution hitch that they're gonna be towing their enclosed trailer with and included was a two inch ball, but the coupler on their trailer is a 2 5/16 so the ball doesn't ever come pre-installed on the weight distribution hitch. So now's a good time to make sure we have the right ball. This is gonna work out great. It's got the 1 1/4 diameter for the shank and this is designed for the weight distribution hitch. more

Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at Etrailer and today we're taking a look at the Curt two inch ball for a ball mount. This is gonna be for a one-inch shank and have a weight capacity of 6,000 pounds. Now when choosing a ball to hook up to your trailer and tow, you obviously wanna make sure that you have the same diameter as your coupler and this one's gonna be a two inch ball so it matches up well with our trailer that we're gonna tow today. The trailer's also rated at 5,000 pounds max capacity and this one has a 6,000 pound gross trailer weight rating. So we are totally safe there. For something like our kayak trailer, or a small boat, or even a small utility trailer, this is gonna be a great option. Being a 1 7/8 inch ball is gonna mean that it's gonna be good for a smaller trailer. In fact, this one's rated at 2000 pounds, so you're gonna want it to adhere to that number. You're also gonna want to obviously compare, make sure that your ball mount, as well as your hitch and your vehicle also equates to that. more

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at the pop-in, three-inch diameter ball for the Reese Elite Series and the Factory Ford and Factory Ram gooseneck hitches. Now this hitch ball is designed for use in the Reese Elite Series Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitches, and also fits the factory installed gooseneck hitches on a 2011 and newer Ford Super Duty trucks or the RAM trucks with the factory prep packages. This is a pop-in ball, which will fit securely in the hitch and it's very easy to insert and remove. Basically to insert it, you just pull up on this lever, this integrated lever, twist it 90 degrees like that and it releases these ball bearings down here and then you just drop it into there. And then when you rotate that lever, it'll lock it into place and keep it installed. more

Now many people that tow Gooseneck Trailers or even RVs with a gooseneck really see the benefits because the towing capacity that the truck can handle really goes up significantly. And in fact, these numbers match that. But the problem with it is the chucking that occurs, and really that's just the clanking back and forth as you hit bumps or even just hit the brakes. more

Now, this hitch ball provides a connection point for your trailer's coupler. They do use the fine threads on this to provide an exceptionally tight, strong grip, and it is a durable steel construction. You can see it has a nice corrosion resistant chrome finish to it, and also, if you noticed, the flat sides here, these are built-in wrench flats that make it very easy to hold the ball in place while you're torquing the nut down. Does include the lock washer and the nut, it's all included. more

This does use the integrated ShockDrop technology, which means it has cushion isolators to reduce rattling and vibration for a more comfortable ride. And you can see this pivot pin here that this will rotate on, this offset pin will dampen any vertical chucking and fore and aft motion during your sudden starts and stops. This is also compatible with the Curt Sway Tab Ball Mount or the weld on Sway Tab and you can find all those here at etrailer.com using the part numbers that you see on the screen there. This is going to attach to the Sway Control Tab on the ball mount or head assembly. It will provide the attachment point for your sway control system on your trailer. more

Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a quick look at this Draw-Tite Replacement Hide-A-Goose Performer 2 5/16 inch Gooseneck Hitch Ball. This is going to replace a hitch ball for your Bulldog, Draw-Tite, Hidden Hitch, or Reese Hide-A-Goose Performer Gooseneck Trailer Hitch, specifically, it is going to work for the models that you see on the screen there, so if you have any of those trailer hitches, whether it's a Bulldog, Draw-Tite, Hidden Hitch, or Reese, and you're needing to replace that Hide-A-Goose ball, this is gonna do a great job for you, allowing you to still have full bed access when you need it, and then to tow your gooseneck trailer when you want to. So this is your standard 2 5/16 inch ball, so it is going to work with your gooseneck coupler. Our shank diameter here, we're looking at just over 2 1/2 inches, 2 5/8 of an inch. This does have a high rise or it is a high rise, so it's got an additional inch built in, so from the top of our hitch ball down to base here, we're looking at right at 8 1/4 of an inch, from the top of the ball down to the top of our pinhole, it's right at 6 1/4 of an inch. more

Hi there gooseneck owners. Today we're gonna be taking a look at BMW's offset goose ball. And this is what our offset ball looks like. It actually slides down in the receiver here and the ball is four inches back from where the regular turnover ball drops into place. This is designed to work with your BMW turnover ball under bed hitch and you simply just take your old ball out and this one slides into place giving you that offset that you need. Now, you do wanna keep in mind that the weight ratings do change a little bit compared to the turnover ball. more

Now, to install your ball, what we're gonna do is remove the nut. You got a lock washer that comes with it. That's gonna go underneath. So we'll put that in position here. Depending on your ball mount, one thing to make sure you check is the diameter here is gonna match the one you have on your shank so the ball will fit in there. We have an inch diameter here on this, so it's gonna work just fine. more

Today, we're gonna be taking a look at the CURT Trailer Ball. So this one's gonna be a 2 5/16 inch ball. It's gonna have a capacity of 20,000 pounds. So we do want to match this up with a ball mount that's gonna be able to carry at least that much. So with this ball mount, it's about 21,000 pounds. So we are limiting our ball mount by 1,000, but that's not necessarily a huge deal. more
